Who is Irish Eyes Design?

I have logo files that go back 20 years. 2004 was an important year for my business, but I started my website in 2008. (I’ll write a different post about why 2004 matters.)

First, I’m a Gallagher - which is a very Irish name. There is a castle somewhere in Ireland related to a story of a princess and a commoner…but I digress.

Second, I went to Notre Dame. So, being Irish really is a part of me…probably more Fighting Irish than Ireland Irish, but maybe once I get to visit the Emerald Isle, my vantage point will change a bit. Stay tuned.

Once you figure out how to pronounce my French name (OR-lee, it is easier than it looks) – Aurelie is my maternal grandma’s name and her mother’s best friend was French – my eyes are probably the next thing you will notice about me. They are very light blue and they have been known to change with whatever color I wear.

So there you have it: how could I NOT be Irish Eyes Design?

My logo has also evolved over the years. It was green in 2004, but it has been blue since 2012.

UPDATE (July 2024): After I wrote this blog post, I changed my logo AGAIN! Someone called me a “dot connector” and I wanted to incorporate that facet into my logo. I do believe that is OK to let a logo evolve. I’m always changing and growing, so it makes sense to have my logo follows a similar path!

I should note that the gradient in the logo below is optional. I firmly believe that a well-designed logo works in one &/or 2 color versions as well.
